How To Fix Your Slow eBay Sales 2023 – Solid Tip #3

In this video series, we will share some of his knowledge as a new solid tip each week. Welcome to the third in the series on how to fix your slow eBay sales in 2023. This is solid tip number three.

Okay, the third tip is to enable the out-of-stock feature that eBay offers. How does it work? When the feature is enabled⁣is automatically applied to all of the users listings,⁣ your existing listings into any new listings that you create. When the quantity of an item goes to zero in a listing that⁣is using this feature the item remains alive. So when the item is in the out-of-stock state,⁣quantity equals zero. The item will not be shown⁣in the search results until it is back in stock with⁣a quantity greater than zero. Okay, so we’ve got five⁣benefits we’re going to go through for this feature.

The last two are directly related to fix Your Slow eBay Sales 2023. They’re the first one is that it’s going to course⁣ save you valuable time as you don’t have to end and recreate listings over and over again. When it goes out of stock you can save all your hard⁣ work and it’ll just relist it. Okay? The second benefit is⁣ improved inventory management due to the one-to-one ⁣SKU and item ID mapping. You don’t have to refer to⁣ multiple item IDs to get account of how much you have in stock⁣and what was sold, et cetera. The third is E easier variation management⁣ variations with a zero quantity which do not have sales are kept alive. All the variations can⁣ have a zero quantity. So super helpful for people ⁣using variation listings.

As this example shows this⁣ variation has gone out of stock for this t-shirt, the⁣ others will be kept alive and the sales history for that particular variation ⁣will also be kept logged. Okay? So the fourth⁣ benefit is it increases your search engine optimization. So as you’re listening, does⁣ not end it greatly improves. Improves your SEO capabilities or search engine ⁣optimization capabilities. You have a greater chance of being indexed by popular⁣ search engine engine indexes. This means a greater chance⁣ of appearing at the top and of course a greater chance of selling.

Now the fifth benefit is ⁣your listing does not end. So your sales history is ⁣retained, which is huge. Social proof is a real⁣ motivator for buyers. It gives them a feeling of confidence and safety when making ⁣the decision to purchase. So eBay allows you to ⁣retain your extremely valuable sales history. For instance, this seller⁣ here is selling this. Curling iron has sold 3,674 of them and this same curling iron ⁣here, they haven’t sold any so it just says that⁣ there are eight available. So this one isn’t really giving the warm and fuzzies to make a ⁣buyer want to purchase. And there’s another example there. using the OUT OF stock⁣ feature has a zero quantity? The listing fees are refunded if the listing is out of stock ⁣for the entire billing month.

If the listing is out of stock for three consecutive billing⁣ months, it is ended by eBay. But you can get around this ⁣by adding in more stock within this period, even⁣if it’s just a simple add some stock in, let it⁣register, and then take the stock out. Again, you can get around this. Okay, so how to turn it on? Super simple. Go to your account settings,⁣and then you want to click on underselling on the left-hand side do you want to click on selling preferences? And then underselling preferences, multi quantity listings it says listings stay active⁣when you’re out of stock and it’s a slider button.

You just slide that on. Okay? So that’s it for⁣this for this week’s tip.
